Tetsuya is a visionary in startup finance with a strong presence in Japan. He is the author of what is widely recognized as the “bible” of startup finance in Japan and has launched four funds with over 16 billion yen. Tetsuya enjoys cruising the open seas and has visited over 1,900 Starbucks stores in Japan.

Yuhei, a Femto founding member, is a top- ranked venture capitalist in Japan. He has invested in over 40 startups, with 10+ achieving IPOs. Recognized as one of Forbes Japan’s top 100 venture capitalists, Yuhei’s nearly two- decade career began at Shinsei Bank. He holds a BA and Master’s degree in Law.

With leadership roles at Dentsu, Deloitte, and Netyear Group, Katsu’s expertise lies in management consulting, crisis mitigation, and business restructuring. An avid runner and golfer, Katsu’s diverse interests coincide with his approach to business and investment. He holds a BA in Human Science from Waseda University.

Shingo bridges Japanese startups and global professionals, focusing on social issues. His global perspective and networking abilities make him a valuable asset in deal handling and fundraising. Shingo’s education includes a BA and MA in Law. He has taken part in two fundraising projects, totaling over 11 billion yen.

Takanobu has extensive experience in M&A advisory, including cross-border deals, at Daiwa Securities SMBC, Deutsche Bank, Greenhill, and Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting. (MURC), where he led the establishment of the Japanese subsidiary of Greenhill and the financial advisory team of MURC. Later, he served as CFO of startups (CloudCredit/Fintech, MediPhone/Healthcare SaaS) and led corporate planning operations including capital policy such as fundraising (total of about 5 billion yen), business management such as establishment of corporate division, and alliances. Graduated from Waseda University, Department of Political Science and Economics. 

Hiroshi’s international finance expertise covers accounting, M&A, tax, and law. He has guided a SaaS business through its IPO and managed fundraising efforts beyond $10 million USD. A certified public accountant in Japan, Hiroshi’s competitive nature extends to basketball and world travel. He holds a BA in Economics from Keio University.

Makoto began her career at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), a governmental financial institution, where she provided legal expertise for large-scale cross-border projects as part of the legal department. Later, in the equity investment division, she specialized in conducting due diligence for Limited Partner (LP) investments in venture capital funds based in Silicon Valley and Europe. Graduate of Tohoku University’s Faculty of Law.

Yuji is an attorney at law admitted in Japan and New York, having professional legal and compliance expertise in the field of corporate practice and international practice. He has over 30 years of experience at one of Japan’s leading financial institutions. He holds a BA in Law from Keio University, a JD from Seikei University Law School and a LLM from University of Pennsylvania Law School.
